Helicopter Rescue Drill on Hurtigruten MS Nordkapp
I am currently in Norway on a fotojob on MS Nordkapp, a cruiseship of the Hurtigruten fleet – travelling from south (Bergen) to nord (Kirkenes) and back again.
Today June 9th, after leaving Hammerfest, a Helicopter rescue drill took place. For about 30 minutes the helicopter flew in sync with the ship. At the winch people were let down and pulled up again. Similarly, the use of rescue stretcher was rehearsed.
The Helicopter is a Eurocopter EC225LP (Registration ID LN-ONF), the civilian variant and latest member of the proven Super Puma/Cougar family.
